The Fury just went Total Tippmann :D

Two of the leading scenario teams in the country have joined forces. With immediate effect Tippmann UK and Team Fury will become a single unit under the Tippmann UK banner.
Tippmann UK Vice Captain, Mike "Antarios" Bissell explains the thinking behind the move.

Over the past year we as a team have noticed a major shift in the style of game play in evidence at many of the UK events. Where previously the sneaky teams (and I'd include Tippmann UK in this camp) have dominated the scene we are now seeing a faster, more aggressive, massed attack approach coming through from Teams like the Scottish Warriors and Warren Wood. When used well it can completely change the outcome of a game and with this in mind we decided that we needed to take a look at how our own team operates and what we need to do to ensure we continue to make an impact in an ever evolving game.

We quickly realised that we needed to maintain a stronger presence on the field at games which ultimately meant bringing in a particular type of new player without compromising the integrity of the team. The solution for us was very simple. Team Fury is a well respected and long established scenario Team with whom we had developed strong links over the past few years. In addition to having quality and experienced within their ranks their ethos fitted very well with our own. They also brought with them a number of solid players around which we will be building an element within the larger team that will be capable of adopting the new "heavy gunner" approach that we are seeing mor e and more.
Tippmann UK captain Al Murray states;

"This is a good move for everyone. Fury have been around for a long time and they bring a complementary skill set to Tippmann UK's, adding real value both on and off the field. We hope that this merger will further consolidate Tippmann UK's position as one of the top scenario teams in the country and we are looking forward to attending as many events as possible both in the UK abroad in 2011"
Ex Team Fury Captain and Tippmann UK Vice Captain, Alan Pye

"Team Fury embrace the new merger with Tippmann UK, our past endeavors, make for a perfect combination, ruck up guys, its going to be an immense 2011 and onwards...."
